The purpose of the Angelina County A&M Club is to assist Texas A&M University and The Association of Former Students in any worthy undertaking to the best of our ability as a Club and as individual former students, to strengthen and renew friendships with fellow Aggies, and to establish and maintain scholarships for students attending Texas A&M University from Angelina County.
MEET YOUR OFFICERS
Linda Moran '97
Linda (Burton) Moran is a Class of ’97 Aggie grad. She grew up in San Antonio but has called Lufkin “home” for the past 16 years. She has been an officer in the Angelina County A&M Club for 12 years. Her background is in Veterinary Medicine, pharmaceutical sales, and is currently an RN with a BSN from Stephen F. Austin University. She works at Woodland Heights Medical Center and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at Texas A&M. She has a husband Sean who is also an Aggie, and with 2 daughters Kylee and Kenzee, they enjoy all things Aggie. Her passion is Texas A&M University, and her favorite experiences with the Angelina County A&M Club is meeting not only fellow Aggies in town but also meeting the Angelina County seniors heading to Aggieland each fall!

Todd Kassaw '87
Todd Kassaw is a Class of ’87 Aggie with a B.S. in Agricultural Economics. He completed his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 1990, and has practiced law in Lufkin since that time. While at Texas A&M, Todd was a member of Squadron 15 in the Corps of Cadets. He met his wife, Kimberlie ‘88, while they were both students. They have two children, Katie ’14 and Tanner ’18.
Kyle Swift '03
VP - Membership
Kyle Swift, class of ’03, graduated from Texas A&M with a BS in Microbiology and a minor in Business where he also was on the track and cross country teams. He later received a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX and is currently the CEO at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin. He is also a member of the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce Board and volunteers with Junior Achievement. His wife, Katy, completed her Masters of Education in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M in 2016. Katy is a school counselor at Trout Elementary in Lufkin. Their son, Sam, class of ’32, currently wants to train in veterinary medicine at A&M.
Abby Gonzalez '10
Abilene (Abby) is a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie class of 2010. She was born in Guanajuato, Mexico but moved to Texas when she was little. She was first exposed to Texas A&M University in middle school and when she saw the campus for the first time, she knew it’s where she wanted to be. Abby is a first-generation Aggie, with a major in Political Science and a minor in Sociology with a focus on race and ethnicity. After she graduated, she moved back to Lufkin to be with family. She works as a manufacturing planner for Angelina Tank & Manufacturing. She is excited about being an Angelina County A&M Club officer and cannot wait to meet more Aggies here in the area.
Jennifer McCarroll '97
VP - Activities
Jennifer McCarroll is a class of '97 Aggie who received her BS in Kinesiology. She later returned for her Masters in Kinesiology in 2002, as well as her Ph.D. in Educational Administration in 2007. She is originally from Lufkin and is the Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction at Huntington High School. She is married to Rob McCarroll and has 2 stepchildren, Caitlin and Austin. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, watching football, cooking and shopping.
Nickie Ashby '95
VP - Scholarships
Nickie has been a member of the Angelina County A&M Club for 13 years. She is a proud member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of ’95 where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting. She is currently the owner of Campaign Reporting Solutions which offers ethics bookkeeping services for Texas political campaigns. She is married to the Aggie of her dreams, Trent (also Class of ’95) and is mom to Garin (Future Class of 2024) and Grant (Future Class of 2027).
Kathy Yeager '82
Kathy and her husband Ron ’78 have called Lufkin home for almost 30 years. They have bled maroon all of their lives, being originally from Snook and Bryan. She is especially passionate about doing what she can to develop the next generation of Aggie leaders, as she teaches for Texas A&M in the College of Education, Human Resource Development program. The Angelina County Aggie Club’s scholarships help foster the growth of the Aggie community and spread the values she holds dear to her.
